BREXIT
The ambiguity of words in the context of BREXIT.
Divisions over the European Union in the Conservative and Unionist party resulted in a national referendum.
The resultant narrow democratic majority result to leave the EU resulted in the resignation of the Conservative and Unionist party primeminister and causes divisions in communities, families, friendships and organisations.
Divisions in the Loyal Opposition result in no effective opposition.
No effective leadership in the Liberal Democrats means their stated policy to remain has no effective voice.
The decision to leave the EU threatens the union with Scotland with, if the SNP have their way, another Scottish referendum resulting maybe in a further dis-united United Kingdom.
The Democratic and Unionist Party take advantage of their critical position and the peace on the Island of Ireland is potentially under threat?
Meanwhile Europe and the rest of the world look on in amazement.
We used to be known as Great Britain - sadly no more can we fairly lay claim to that description!
Perhaps all because a relatively small majority won a democratic lottery for a different kind of undefined freedom and role in the world?
Soon we will all loose our EU citizenship and revert to subjects of a Dis-United Kingdom and we will have all played our part on this particular page in the history books.
To be continued - at least nothing is planned for All Fools Day on the first of April 2019 -yet?
